Hi Shilpi, CRP field producer: We wanted to personally thank you for all your hard work in making the 24 Hours of Reality webcast an overwhelming success. The webcast received over 8.5 million hits over the marathon 24 hours it was online, and that kind of viewership would not have been possible without the slide presentations around the world, in 20 different locations, in 10 different languages and 20 different time zones. It truly was a first... to bring the world together to inform and illuminate each other on the realities of climate change, all in one global event. You were all an integral part in making this happen. Our thanks especially go out to everyone who spent time talking with the venue people, satellite operators and presenters, making sure everyone was set at the locations. We realize that for every call made or email sent, there were probably many behind-the-scenes calls made, and we appreciate your efforts. Dear Shilpi, Where do I start with all my thanks? Firstly, I am so grateful for all your personal support on this project. You have been extremely willing- at any time of the day- and it is much appreciated. The crew- particularly the cameraman and soundperson were very professional and a delight to work with. It was obvious from the start that Deepak has a strong eye and his shots were exactly what we wanted. The Soundperson also brought a professional attitude to the work at all times. I know it was a long hard slog but they rose to the occasion every time. I am very impressed. If they are representative of Absolute Media Services, then you too must be proud. Can I also thank you for sending around a most experienced and friendly producer to take my hand through the technical jungle ( for me anyways) of transferring the material this morning. I was again very taken by his patience with me!! This was a long and time consuming project but I am more than happy with Absolute Media Services and I would hope there will be many more opportunities for our companies to work together.
